Old Leedy\Ludwig marching snare with a black\silvergrey marble finish. It has just the single center lug housings that both top & bottom head lugs screw into with square heads (as opposed to the "slot" type). It's a 15" head and it's 12" deep, the logo is a gold oval saying since 1895 Leedy Drums Chicago, Ill, U.S.A. The snare tightener says Ludwig. The only other details are an engraving on the batter side rim which reads: B.E.B.S 9-142, and an ink print on the inside shell which reads: P-020. It has a brass dampining knob which controls 2 felt pads at the inside top head.

I have a Leedy bass drum pedal. Antique. I believe about 1909, maybe a little later than that. The cotton thumper (don't know what else to call it?) says Ludwig % Ludwig on the end of it. The foot pedal says Leedy Marathon, Elkhart Indiana USA. Can anyone tell me the year it was made and the value to a collector? I have the snare and wood bass drum (25") that came as a set. The snare is a 5 by 14 ten key. 1920's. I may want to sell this to a collector sometime soon but I have to find out more before I do. My Dad bought this set from a 72 year old drummer. I have a mid 50's WFL White Marine Pearl set for sale. 14 x 22 bass, 13 x 9 rack tom and 16 x 16 floor. The wrap is in beautiful condition. No separation. There is no rust on any of the lugs, claws or rims. Just minor pitting in very few places. The bass spurs are hoop mounted and detachable, as is the rack tom mount. The set also includes a Speed King kick pedal, a WFL snare stand, Ludwig Spur-Loc Hi-hat stand and "L" arm cymbal holder. Badges on all drums in mint condition. I have a 1983 Slingerland Magnum 10 piece set. It is gray and has all the original heads available. I have replaced most of them. This set also has seven cymbals complete with all hardware and a double bass pedal. The bass and floor tom have small cracks in the covers but otherwise this is in great shape. THese are the premier maple drums of the early 80's. This is a professional set and deserves to be treated that way. I have taken excellent care of them but need the room. I will sacrafice these for $4000. You will not get a chance to own this type of set again. The sound is terrific, the response is better than I have ever had (and I have played since 1961). The more I write this, the less I want to sell them, but I have determined it is time. Serious inquiries only please. All shipping and insurance costs to be covered by buyer. Ludwig Vistalite drum set with the rare and highly coveted Green acrylic shells. This set is the "Big Beat" configuration, 14x22 bass, 8x12 tom, 9x13 tom, 16x16 floor tom, and matching 5x14 snare. Drums are in excellent/mint "collectors" condition with no cracks, solid seams, all original hardware, and only a few light scuffs typically found on 30+ year old Vistalites. Also included is a Ludwig Speed King kick drum pedal from the 70's. Optionally included are (6) Ludwig Blue/Olive badge Hercules stands from the same 70's era. These are (2) heavy boom cymbal stands, (2) straight cymbal stands, (1) hihat cymbal stand, and (1) snare stand. I have a 1970's LUdwig Vistalite, it's blue. It's in great shape, just needs new heads. Sizes are 9 by 12 and 10 by 13 and an 18 by 18 floor tom and also a 16 by 20 bass drum. Has Paiste cymbals with it too, they sound great. This set brings back the whole retro sound and look from the 70's We are the original owners so it's cool. The set is missing 3 lug casings on the bass that were removed to allow the bass to be moved and placed more freely. If intereseted in trading or buying please e-mail me.
